Transformers still Rules the Box Office
The Transformers: Age of Extinction still rules the Box Office on the 4th of July Holiday. They gained $36.4 million in their 2nd week of release from 4,233 US locations garnering a total revenue of $174.7 million domestically. The Transformers: Age of Extinction cost $210 million to produce. This 4th of July weekend holiday in the US was one of the worst weekends in decades for box office sales. "Tammy" was in 2nd place at $21.2 million.
Elsewhere, the movie The Transformers: Age of Extinction is doing well in China it is on pace to become the top grossing film ever in the country. The movie is expected to exceed Avatar's $218 million released in China. While in Australia Transformers earned $4.844 million for its 2nd weekend.
